This document outlines the Terms of Use governing all digital assets, mods, scripts, textures,interfaces, frameworks, and derivative content produced by How Good Designs, a creativesubdivision of Trufire Studios. By accessing, utilizing, distributing, or integrating any contentunder the How Good Designs name, you acknowledge and consent to the following legallybinding terms, conditions, and obligations.
This agreement ensures alignment with:
● Our internal Creative Commons Licensing Framework
● Policies set forth by Cfx.re, FiveM®
● The broader intellectual property rights maintained by Rockstar Games™, RockstarNorth™, and Take-Two Interactive®
Failure to comply with any aspect of these Terms may result in revocation of usage rights,takedown actions, or legal consequences.These Terms are influenced by the licensing terms of the following parties:

● Rockstar Games™, Rockstar North™ and Take-Two Interactive®

The use of the terms "we", "us" and "our" throughout this document refers collectively to HowGood Designs and its parent entity, Trufire Studios. The terms "you", "your", or "the user" refer to any individual, entity, or group accessing, using,distributing, or integrating our content.

This means:
● You may share and adapt our work.
● You must credit the original authors ("How Good Designs"), or the name of theindependent developer where such work is released on How Good Designs pages.
● You are not permitted to use our work commercially.
● Any adaptations or derivatives must be licensed under the same license
As creators within the FiveM® ecosystem, all content must comply with the terms and policies of:

● Mods must not interfere with or modify Rockstar’s official game services (e.g. GTAOnline).
We respect Rockstar’s and Cfx.re’s rights and work actively to remain compliant. Unauthorizedor abusive use of our work will be addressed via DMCA enforcement or platform complaints.
All redistributed, showcased, or modified content must include the following visible attribution (e.g., in your README, website, UI menu, or file metadata):

You may not:
● Monetize, sell, or resell our work.

● Use our content in conjunction with malware, cheat tools, or unauthorized Rockstar Online Services.
● Remove or obfuscate credit information or license metadata.
● Use our assets in illegal, harmful, offensive, or discriminatory contexts.
Violating these terms may result in:
● Takedown requests and license revocation
● Reporting to Cfx.re and file hosting services
● Legal action, if appropriate
When creating a request via official communication services, please remember that How Good Designs can only modify files which have explicit or otherwise open copyright that states that third party developers may edit or modify their works. How Good Designs will not decrypt or ‘crack’ files for our clients, and any files which include encryption can not be modified by our development teams.
Assets that include any of the following cannot be modified by our development teams.
● Creative Commons copyright which include;
○ ND: No derivatives or adaptations of the work are permitted.
● Explicit Trademark for the asset
● Other types of Copyright protection
● File Encryption or IP/Account Whitelisting
It is the responsibility of the requester to verify this information is current and that the work they wish for us to modify does not include copyright protection that would prevent modifications.Good Designs and TruFire Studios take no responsibility of any work commission completed byourselves to modify works protected under copyright or trademark policies.
How Good Designs cannot sell, distribute without license or create real world branding which includes copyright or trademark protection.
Any creations completed by How Good Designs re-released with logos and or branding which may appear similar to real world brands, but do not violate the terms of said company and its trademark. If you wish to have real world brands placed into your requests, you as the requester will be required to edit the files to accommodate real world branding where none can be provided.
How Good Designs is not responsible for third party developers modifications to our assets which include real world branding.
Derivative works refer to any adaptations, customizations, modifications, forks, re-implementations, reskins, or other transformations of the original assets, scripts, or visual designs created by How Good Designs or Trufire Studios.
We encourage thoughtful community development and open creativity — but only when done in alignment with our licensing and attribution rules, and in good faith.
How Good Designs assets are licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, which allows users to:
● Remix or modify scripts, UI elements, textures, and configs to better fit their FiveM® server environment.
● Create derivative works such as expanded features, alternate versions, or visual rebrands—so long as:
○ They are not monetized.
○ They include full credit and visible attribution.
○ They are licensed under the same license: CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
○ They do not violate the FiveM®, Cfx.re, or Rockstar™ terms of service.
Examples of acceptable use:
● Forking a GitHub repository to create a modified version with new UI colors and layout.
● Adjusting client-side Lua scripts to better integrate with custom server frameworks.
● Translating UI text and notifications into another language with proper credit.
When distributing a derivative:
● You must include a copy of, or link to, the original license.
● You must clearly state: “This work is a derivative of content created by How Good Designs ©2024, licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.” or similar.
● You may not claim the derivative as “original” work or remove How Good Designs credits. This includes Texture watermarks included in base textures.
If you wish to:
● Monetize a derivative work,
● Modify Trufire Studios assets,
● Use our material in a video game unrelated to FiveM®,
● Include our unmodified work in a server pack or public distribution system (e.g. modhubs, Tebex packs, Patreon packs),…you must request explicit written permission from Trufire Studios.We may, in select cases, grant you a custom licensing agreement under separate terms (e.g., CCBY-NC, dual-license, or partnership-based distribution).To request such rights, contact the work’s developer(s) via a discord ticket or via email.

We are strong believers in open collaboration, modular creativity, and the power of a shared community ecosystem. That’s why we license How Good Designs assets under the permissive-but-protective CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.
We also must maintain high standards of brand integrity, originality, and legal compliance,especially where Trufire Studios assets are concerned — which is why that content is protectedby a stricter No Derivatives license. If you're unsure whether your planned use is allowed, ask first. We’re here to supportresponsible use, not punish creativity
We reserve the right to revoke usage rights or enforce the license through:
● Written takedown requests
● DMCA notices and platform reports
● Server and community bans
● Legal action in cases of deliberate misuse or violation
The following trademarks, copyrights, and associated brands are acknowledged and respectedin accordance with applicable intellectual property laws and platform guidelines:
Third-Party Acknowledgements:
• FiveM® and Cfx.re are trademarks of CitizenFX Collective. Our content is made solely for compatibility within the FiveM® multiplayer framework and follows their official terms of service. We are not officially affiliated with or endorsed by Cfx.re or the CitizenFX Collective.
● Rockstar Games™, Rockstar North™, and Grand Theft Auto V® are trademarks andproperties of Rockstar Games, Inc., a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. All original characters, locations, vehicles, textures, and lore elements from the GTA series remain the exclusive property of Rockstar Games.
● Take-Two Interactive® is the parent company and rights holder for the Grand Theft Auto® franchise and its affiliated intellectual property.We do not assert any ownership or proprietary rights over these assets, names, trademarks, or concepts.
The content produced and distributed by How Good Designs is intended exclusively for use within the FiveM® modding framework, which itself exists under Rockstar’s policy of allowing non-commercial, community-created modifications for Grand Theft Auto V.
We explicitly adhere to the following conditions:
● Our content is not designed for use in GTA Online or official Rockstar multiplayer services.
● We do not bypass, reverse-engineer, or interfere with Rockstar’s DRM, multiplayer servers, or core EULA protections.
● We do not use, copy, or rehost proprietary Rockstar Games assets unless explicitly permitted under modding allowances.
● Our work is original, or based on permitted modifiable components, and is fully compliant with Cfx.re’s community standards.
How Good Designs and Trufire Studios are:
● Not endorsed by Rockstar Games™, Rockstar North™, Take-Two Interactive®, or Cfx.re.
● Not affiliated with the developers or publishers of Grand Theft Auto V or any related franchises.
● Independent creative entities operating within the scope of allowed community modding frameworks. Any references to Rockstar IP, logos, gameplay systems, or stylistic elements are for contextualand compatibility purposes only.
All third-party trademarks (e.g., "Grand Theft Auto", "FiveM", "Rockstar Games") are used in accordance with nominative fair use doctrine. They are referenced:
● Solely to identify compatibility or development frameworks,
● Without suggestion of endorsement or partnership,
● Without using original logos, brand marks, or visual assets owned by said entities (unless separately licensed or permitted).
We claim no ownership over original Rockstar assets. Our content exists only for compatibility within allowed modding environments like FiveM® and does not bypass Rockstar’s EULA.
At How Good Designs, we aim to provide reliable and fair support to all users of our products.
● Primary Support Channel: All official support is provided via our Discord server.
● Unsupported Channels: We do not monitor the CFX.re forums or other third-partyplatforms. Any support requests made outside Discord are not considered official andmay not receive a response.
● Support Priority:
○ Highest Priority – Paid assets and Patreon supporters.
○ Lower Priority – Free assets and non-supporting members. Support for thesemay experience delays.
● Public Support Forums: Our Discord server includes public support channels wherecommunity members may help one another. While we make an effort to remove false ormisleading information, we take no responsibility for the accuracy or reliability ofsupport provided by community members.
● Official Team Assistance: Only responses from How Good Designs staff or designatedteam members should be considered official support.
Estimates are not indication of final price, final price may change with notice to the customer. Upon agreement the customer agrees to have all assets created on the estimate. Upon completion of the project, files will be transferred to the customer unless otherwise stated. How Good Designs will archive orders for a period of 60 days, after which all files relating to the project will be removed from our systems and can not be recovered.
The customer may choose to cancel the work within 72 hours of the start of the project.
How Good Designs retains the rights to and may re-create works made for commissions for purposes outside of the customer agreement, however re-creations do not use the same assets and textures created under a development commission, as these are transferred to the customerupon completion.
Custom Work
● Non-Refundable: All custom work is made-to-order and tailored to individual requests.Once work has commenced, if the work has been paid for in advance, refunds cannot be offered.
● Revisions: If the delivered custom work does not meet the agreed brief, revisions maybe provided within the scope of the original agreement. This does not include full recreations.
● Cancellations: If a project is cancelled before work begins, a refund may be issued, subtracting any administrative/consultation fees.
Free Releases
● No Refunds or Exchanges: Free assets are provided "as-is" with no warranty. Since no payment is made, returns or refunds do not apply.
● Use at Own Risk: Users are responsible for ensuring compatibility with their own systems or servers. How Good Designs holds no responsibility if assets are used outside of their original purpose.
Early Access & Patreon Assets
● Subscription Payments: Payments made through Patreon grant access to early-releaseor exclusive assets. These payments are managed directly by Patreon and are generally non-refundable.
● Refunds: As digital assets are delivered immediately upon subscription or release,refunds cannot be offered once access has been granted.
● Cancellations: You may cancel your Patreon subscription at any time to prevent future charges. Cancellation does not retroactively refund past payments. You are still permitted to keep and use the assets obtained via patreon even after canceling.
General Terms
● Digital Goods Policy: All products are digital in nature and therefore not eligible for physical returns.
● Errors or Defects: If an asset is found to be corrupted, incomplete, or incorrectly delivered, please contact us within 72 Hours of receipt. We will work with you toprovide a corrected file.
● Chargebacks: Unauthorized chargebacks will result in revoked access to all How Good Designs products and services, as well as being placed on a future blacklist for any custom work. Unauthorized chargebacks may also result in further action being taken.
